The three criteria to meet to earn the weekly incentive are:

1. Available 6 days per week, Wednesday-Monday with Tuesday off.
2. Paperwork scanned in on time. Suggested to scan in immediately after empty.
3. No driver-preventable service failures.

Yes, but it is rare. Drivers who do usually stay out for several weeks at a time. The four-week bonus also adds up. It starts at $0.01 per authorized mile and increases with tenure. Example: McDonough GA to South Boston VA is 432 miles. That adds $4.32 to the incentive. If the return to West Chicago is empty, that’s another $4.32. It may seem small, but it adds up quickly.

You must be available 6 days per week. Since the Dollar General loads ship on Wednesday and Thursday, we expect you to be available Wednesday through Monday in order to service the customer freight.

Since our loads require us to operate Wednesday-Monday and you must be available 6 days per week, taking Saturday and Sunday off would not work on this account.

Anything less than 6 days of availability would disqualify you from the weekly incentive unless you have paid time off days (for company drivers with more than 1 year tenure at Hirschbach). For long hometimes, we require 7 or more days ahead of time so we can secure coverage.

Emergencies will be handled on a case by case basis.

We do not anticipate many loads to run at night, but there may be circumstances that require night driving on occasion.

Drivers must have a place to park a truck AND a trailer during home time. If you live near McDonough, you should be able to drop your trailer at the shipper, but you shouldn’t drive too far out of route to drop your trailer at the shipper when going to hometime.

Incentive pay covers these pays and due to the nature of dedicated accounts, we do not bill these to the customer.

When a preplan is sent to you, ensure you can safely and legally deliver the load. If you cannot, contact dispatch so we can work out the details. Otherwise, the 6 day availability requires the driver to accept the assigned loads.
